Rosemary C. McMahon, Principal, holds a Bachelor of Art of Business Administration degree from Mary Baldwin College. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Virginia and is enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service as an Enrolled Agent. Rosemary is also a Quickbooks Pro Advisor. She is an active member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents and the Virginia Society of Enrolled Agents. She is also a member of the National Society of Accountants, the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Society of Tax Practitioners.

As an accountant and tax professional, Rosemary has over 30 years of experience with a wide range of business, individual, fiduciary and professional relationships throughout the United States. Her knowledge incorporates all levels of federal and state income tax law. She has held various accounting positions in both the public and private sectors. Her volunteer experiences include positions with Army Community Services, Officers Wives Clubs, PTAs, homeowners and office condominium associations, and professional organizations.

An enrolled agent (EA) is a federally licensed tax practitioner who has technical expertise in the field of taxation and is empowered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers for audits, collections and appeals before all administrative levels of the Internal Revenue Service.

Only enrolled agents demonstrate their competence in matters of taxation and report their hours of continuing professional education to IRS. Enrolled Agents are the only taxpayer representatives who receive their right to practice directly from the U.S. government.
